WordVaults is a Chrome extension that helps users collect, organize, search, and export useful or unfamiliar words and phrases encountered while browsing the web.
1. Information WordVaults Processes
WordVaults processes information that the user explicitly selects or saves while using the extension. Depending on the features used, this may include:
- Selected words or phrases.

- Webpage title and source URL associated with a saved item.
- Notes, favorites, and other vocabulary information entered by the user.
- Date and time associated with saved vocabulary items.

3. Local Storage
WordVaults uses Chrome extension storage to persist the user's vocabulary collection. Vocabulary data is stored locally in the user's browser.
WordVaults does not require a remote account or backend service for its core vocabulary-storage functionality.
4. Data Sharing
WordVaults does not sell user data and does not transfer saved vocabulary, webpage content, or browsing information to third parties for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
WordVaults does not intentionally collect or share passwords, authentication credentials, payment information, health information, personal communications, or precise location information.
5. Webpage Access
WordVaults accesses the active webpage when the user activates the extension so that it can provide its vocabulary-selection and vocabulary-capture functionality.
The extension is designed to capture content relevant to the user's explicit vocabulary-selection action rather than continuously collecting the contents of websites for unrelated purposes.

WordVaults is not specifically directed at children and does not intentionally collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated when WordVaults' functionality or data practices change. The updated policy will be published at this URL with a revised effective date.
