NewsNest Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
NewsNest – Smart Website Organizer helps users save, categorize, search, and manage useful websites while browsing the web.
1. Information We Store
NewsNest stores information that users choose to save to their personal website collection. This may include:
- Website URLs
- Website titles
- User-created categories and organization data
- Website descriptions or other information provided through the extension
- Extension preferences and settings
2. How We Use Information
The stored information is used only to provide the core functionality of NewsNest, including saving, categorizing, searching, organizing, and accessing the websites selected by the user.
3. Local Storage
NewsNest does not require users to create an account for its core website-organizing functionality, and the saved collection is not intentionally transmitted to our own servers.
4. Website Access
When the user explicitly interacts with NewsNest, the extension may access information from the active webpage or selected link when necessary to save that website to the user's collection.
NewsNest does not intentionally monitor or collect the user's complete browsing history.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or transfer users' stored website collection data to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
6. Data Security
NewsNest minimizes data collection and stores the user's saved collection locally in the browser. Users should protect access to their browser and device because locally stored extension data may be accessible to someone with access to the same browser profile.
7. Data Deletion
Users can delete saved items using the functionality provided by NewsNest. Removing the extension or clearing its stored data can also remove locally stored extension data, subject to Chrome's behavior and the user's browser settings.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when NewsNest's functionality or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
